How the batch math works

Compatible liquid units

U.S. fluid ounces, cups, teaspoons, tablespoons, pints, quarts, gallons, centiliters, liters, and milliliters normalize to milliliters before scaling.

Servings and target volume

Serving mode divides target servings by original servings. Volume mode divides the target pre-dilution volume by the original liquid volume.

Added water convention

Added water equals pre-dilution batch volume multiplied by the dilution percentage. A 20% setting adds 200 ml to a 1,000 ml pre-dilution batch.

Containers and bottle gaps

Full fills use floor division. Each inventory gap is the required amount minus the amount you entered, with zero as the minimum.

Unit and service assumptions

Fluid units use U.S. customary conversions. A fluid ounce is 29.5735295625 ml and a U.S. cup is 236.5882365 ml.

Dry mass stays separate from liquid volume because ingredient density is unknown. Counted ingredients scale numerically, while to-taste rows remain qualitative.

The dilution range is 0% to 50%. Taste a chilled sample before service, especially when fresh citrus, bitters, carbonation, dairy, or egg is involved.
