How the pizza calculation works
The calculator uses slices per guest as its unit. Diameter is kept in the order summary, while slices per pizza drive the conversion to whole pizzas.

Set slice demand
Each guest group is multiplied by its visible slice rate. Substantial sides reduce those rates by 20%.

Add the order buffer
The selected buffer is added to total slice demand. Slices are divided by the pizza cut, then pizzas always round upward.

Reserve dietary pizzas
Every non-zero dietary group reserves whole pizzas before the standard flavor pool is divided.

Round flavors exactly
Flavor quotas round down first. Remaining pizzas go to the largest fractional remainders, so every ordered pizza is assigned.
Planning limits
Appetite, slice size, crust, and service timing change actual consumption. The leftover range tests demand 10% above and below your selected rates. Confirm allergens, cross-contact, cuts, and available sizes with the restaurant.
