How to make it

  • Cut lime in half and then slice one half into eight 3-4mm thick half-moon segments and drop into a robust rocks glass.
  • Add 3 bar spoons powdered sugar and muddle.
  • Add watermelon and muddle some more.
  • Transfer the muddled fruit and sugar into a serving glass.
  • Pour cachaça into the rocks glass, swirl to rinse, then pour into the serving glass and stir to mix ingredients.
  • Crack four to five large ice cubes, drop into the serving glass. Stir before topping with more ice and serve.
